Orders and Payment
How do I place an order on Compoden?
To place an order:
- Browse products and add items to your cart
- Click "Checkout" when ready
- Enter shipping address and contact details
- Choose payment method (online payment or Cash on Delivery)
- Review order and confirm
- You'll receive order confirmation via email and SMS
You need to create an account or log in to place orders. This helps us track your orders and provide better support.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept:
- Online payments: Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), UPI, net banking, digital wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay)
- Cash on Delivery (COD): Pay in cash when you receive the order (Rs. 50 COD handling fee applies)
All online payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. We do not store your credit card information.
What are the COD charges and limits?
COD Charges:
- Shipping: Rs. 125 (flat rate, all order values)
- COD handling fee: Rs. 50
- Total COD charges: Rs. 175
COD Limits:
- Up to Rs. 2,500: Full COD available - pay complete amount on delivery
- Rs. 2,501 to Rs. 10,000: Partial prepayment required - pay Rs. 50 advance + Rs. 75 shipping online, balance COD
- Above Rs. 10,000: COD not available - prepaid payment required
Can I cancel my order after placing it?
Yes, you can cancel within 24 hours of order placement if the order hasn't been dispatched yet.
- Cancellation fee: 4% of order value
- Refund timeline: 3-5 business days
- How to cancel: Email support@compoden.in with subject "Cancel Order #[Order Number]"
Once an order is marked "Shipped," cancellation is not possible. You'll need to follow our return process if you no longer want the product.
Why was my payment declined?
Common reasons for payment failure:
- Insufficient funds in account
- Incorrect card details or CVV
- Card expired or blocked by bank
- Daily transaction limit exceeded
- International transactions disabled (for some Indian cards)
- Bank's fraud detection system flagged the transaction
Solution: Try a different payment method, contact your bank to authorize the transaction, or use UPI/net banking as an alternative.
Shipping and Delivery
What are the shipping charges?
Prepaid Orders (Online Payment):
- Orders up to Rs. 999: Rs. 75 flat shipping
- Orders Rs. 999 and above: FREE SHIPPING
COD Orders:
- Shipping: Rs. 125 (all order values)
- COD handling fee: Rs. 50
- Total: Rs. 175
We recommend prepaid payment for lower shipping costs and faster processing.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time = Dispatch timeline + Transit time
Dispatch Timelines: Each product displays a shipping timeline tag:
- Ships in 1-2 days: Dispatches within 24-36 hours
- Ships in 3-5 days: Dispatches in 3-5 working days
- Ships in 7-10 days: Dispatches in 7-10 days
- Ships in 15-25 days: Import/sourcing required, 15-25 days
Transit Times After Dispatch:
- Bengaluru: 1-2 days
- Metro cities: 2-4 days
- Tier 1 cities: 3-5 days
- Tier 2/3 cities: 4-6 days
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to select countries:
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- Saudi Arabia
- Sri Lanka
- Bangladesh
- Maldives
International shipping charges are calculated based on weight, dimensions, and destination. Delivery takes 7-15 business days after dispatch. Customs duties and import taxes are the customer's responsibility.

How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive:
- Shipping confirmation email with tracking number
- SMS with tracking link
- Courier partner details (DTDC for prepaid, multiple vendors for COD)
Track your order:
- Log into your account at compoden.in/account
- Click the tracking link in your email/SMS
- Visit the courier's website and enter tracking number
What if my order doesn't arrive?
If tracking shows package not moving for 10+ days or courier confirms loss:
- Contact us immediately at support@compoden.in with order number and tracking details
- We'll file a claim with the courier and send a replacement at no cost
- Or provide a full refund including shipping charges
We take full responsibility for products lost during shipping due to courier issues.
Returns and Refunds
What is your return policy?
7-day return window from delivery date for manufacturing defects only.
What qualifies for return:
- Manufacturing defect (component doesn't work as per datasheet)
- Wrong item shipped
- Damaged during shipping (report within 48 hours)
What does NOT qualify:
- Changed mind or no longer need
- Ordered wrong item by mistake
- Damaged due to incorrect installation or wiring
- ESD damage, reverse polarity, or overvoltage damage
- Product modified or soldered after delivery
All returns require approval before shipping back. Email support@compoden.in with order number, product details, and photo/video evidence.
How do I return a defective product?
Follow these steps:
- Email support@compoden.in within 7 days of delivery
- Include: order number, product name, defect description, photos/videos
- Wait for approval (1-2 business days)
- If approved, ship product back using trackable courier
- We inspect within 3-5 days of receiving the return
- If defect confirmed: replacement shipped or refund processed
We reimburse up to Rs. 75 for return shipping if defect is confirmed.
What products cannot be returned?
The following are non-returnable:
- Batteries (lithium-ion, LiPo, NiMH, rechargeable/primary)
- Custom-programmed components
- Consumables (solder wire, flux, thermal paste - once opened)
- Cut cables and wires sold by length
- Clearance/Final Sale items
- Digital products (software licenses, eBooks)
- Gift cards and vouchers
How long does it take to get a refund?
Refund timeline after we approve the refund (post-inspection):
- Credit/Debit Card: 5-7 business days
- UPI/Net Banking: 3-5 business days
- Digital Wallets: 2-3 business days
- COD Orders: 7-10 business days via bank transfer (requires bank account details)
If you don't receive your refund within the stated timeline, check with your bank first as refunds may be held in pending status.
What if no defect is found during inspection?
If our quality team tests the product and finds it functioning correctly:
- Restocking fee: 30% of product value deducted
- Return shipping to you: Rs. 75 charged
- Original shipping charges: Not refunded
Example: Rs. 500 product → Refund = Rs. 500 - 30% (Rs. 150) - Rs. 75 return shipping = Rs. 275
You can choose to have the product shipped back to you (Rs. 75 charge) or forfeit it.

For products not currently in stock but available for pre-order:

- Cancellation: Full refund minus 4% processing fee before item ships
You'll receive email notification 48 hours before dispatch with final payment link.

Do I need an account to place an order?
Yes, you need to create an account to place orders. Benefits include:
- Track order status in real-time
- View order history
- Save shipping addresses for faster checkout
- Wishlist and saved cart items
- Easier returns and support (we can quickly pull up your order history)
Creating an account is free and takes less than a minute.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
To reset your password:
- Go to the login page
- Click "Forgot Password"
- Enter your registered email address
- Check your email for password reset link
- Click the link and create a new password
If you don't receive the reset email within 10 minutes, check your spam folder or contact support@compoden.in.
How do I update my shipping address?
Before order is placed: You can update address during checkout.
After order is placed but before dispatch: Email support@compoden.in within 24 hours with order number and new address. Address changes are possible only if order hasn't shipped yet.
After order is dispatched: Address cannot be changed. Contact courier directly using tracking number to coordinate delivery.
