Shipping and Delivery Policy - Compoden Electronics India

Fast, Reliable Shipping Across India and Select International Markets - Compoden ships genuine electronics components from our Bengaluru, Karnataka warehouse to customers in India and select international destinations including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Maldives.

All orders are processed using our custom fulfillment system with product-specific shipping timelines clearly indicated on each product page and at checkout. Delivery times vary by location, product availability, and shipping method selected.

Shipping Charges and Free Shipping Policy

Prepaid Orders (Online Payment)

For orders paid online via credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or digital wallets:

  • Orders up to Rs. 999: Flat shipping charge of Rs. 75
  • Orders Rs. 999 and above: FREE SHIPPING across India

Prepaid orders benefit from lower shipping costs and faster processing. We recommend online payment for the most economical shipping rates and priority dispatch handling.

Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

Cash on Delivery is available for customers who prefer to pay upon receiving their order:

  • All COD orders: Flat shipping charge of Rs. 125 (regardless of order value)
  • Additional COD handling fee: Rs. 50 per order
  • Total COD charges: Rs. 175 (Rs. 125 shipping + Rs. 50 COD fee)
  • Coverage: Available PAN India (all states and union territories)

COD Payment Limits

  • Orders up to Rs. 2,500: Full COD available - pay complete amount on delivery
  • Orders Rs. 2,501 to Rs. 10,000: Partial prepayment required - pay Rs. 50 advance + Rs. 75 shipping charges online, balance COD on delivery
  • Orders above Rs. 10,000: COD not available - prepaid payment required

Important: COD orders do not qualify for free shipping promotions. The flat Rs. 125 shipping fee plus Rs. 50 COD handling fee applies to all COD order values to cover additional logistics costs, cash handling, and return trip risk.

Order Processing and Dispatch Timeline

Compoden uses a custom fulfillment system with tag-based dispatch scheduling. Each product displays a shipping timeline tag on the product page and at checkout indicating when that specific item will be dispatched from our warehouse.

Saturday Dispatch: Available for all shipping timeline categories. Orders confirmed on Saturday may ship the same day or following Monday depending on the product's timeline tag.

Sunday and National Holidays: Warehouse closed. Orders received on these days are processed starting the next business day.

Multi-Item Orders with Different Timelines

If your order contains multiple products with different shipping timelines:

  • Items may be shipped separately as they become available
  • Fastest items may ship first, followed by items with longer timelines
  • You will receive separate tracking information for each shipment
  • Shipping charges apply once to the entire order, not per shipment

Prepaid Orders

Prepaid orders are shipped via DTDC India, a reliable domestic courier service with extensive coverage across India.

Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

COD orders are fulfilled through multiple specialized courier vendors selected based on destination serviceability and delivery success rates in specific regions.

Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive:

  • Shipping confirmation email with tracking number and courier partner details
  • SMS notification with tracking link
  • Real-time tracking via courier partner's website using the provided tracking number
  • Delivery milestone updates via SMS as package moves through transit

  • Shipping charges: Calculated based on weight, dimensions, and destination country at checkout

  • Documentation: Commercial invoice and customs declaration provided with all international shipments
  • Restrictions: Some products (lithium batteries, certain chemicals) may have import restrictions - verify local regulations before ordering

Packaging and Product Safety

Electronics components require careful handling during transit. We use specialized packaging:

  • Anti-static bags: For sensitive integrated circuits (ICs), microcontrollers, and modules
  • Bubble wrap and foam padding: For fragile items including displays, sensors, and development boards
  • Moisture barrier packaging: For humidity-sensitive components
  • Rigid cartons: Properly sized boxes to prevent movement during shipping
  • Fragile labeling: Clear external markings for delicate items
  • Tamper-evident sealing: All packages sealed to ensure product integrity

Each package includes an itemized packing slip for easy verification of order contents upon delivery.

Delivery Failure and Re-Attempts

If delivery fails due to incorrect address, customer unavailable, or premises inaccessible:

  • Courier will attempt delivery 2-3 times over consecutive days
  • You will receive SMS/email notification for each delivery attempt
  • If all attempts fail, package returns to our warehouse
  • Re-shipment charges: Rs. 75 will be charged for re-shipping returned packages due to delivery failure

To Avoid Delivery Failures

  • Provide complete address with landmark and nearby prominent location
  • Include working mobile number with active WhatsApp if possible
  • Mention building/society name, floor, and apartment/flat number
  • Add alternate contact number if you're unavailable during delivery hours
  • Inform security/reception staff if delivering to office/gated community

Address Changes and Order Modifications

Before Dispatch: Address changes or order modifications are possible within 24 hours of order placement. Contact support@compoden.in immediately with your order number.

After Dispatch: Address changes are not possible once the order has been handed to the courier. You may contact the courier directly using the tracking number to coordinate delivery, but Compoden cannot guarantee address modifications after dispatch.

Bulk Orders and Custom Fulfillment

For bulk orders, institutional purchases, or custom fulfillment requirements:

  • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): 10 units for bulk pricing eligibility
  • Bulk discounts: 5-10% based on order quantity
  • Custom packaging: Available for institutional orders
  • Dedicated support: Assigned account manager for recurring bulk orders
  • Flexible payment terms: Available for verified institutions and businesses

Pre-Orders and Backorders

Products not currently in stock may be available for pre-order:

  • Pre-order payment: 80% advance payment required at order placement
  • Balance payment: Remaining 20% charged at dispatch
  • Estimated arrival: Clearly communicated via all channels (website, email, SMS)
  • Cancellation: Pre-orders can be cancelled before item ships for full refund minus 4% processing fee

Pre-order status and estimated shipping dates are updated via email notifications. You will be notified 48 hours before your pre-order ships with final payment link.

Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address provided by customer
  • Customer refused delivery
  • Customer not available after multiple delivery attempts
  • Premises inaccessible or address not traceable

Resolution:

  • We will contact you via email and phone to confirm correct address
  • Re-shipment fee of Rs. 75 applies for sending the package again
  • If customer does not respond within 7 days, order will be cancelled and refund processed minus original shipping charges and 30% restocking fee

Lost or Damaged Shipments

Package lost in transit: If tracking shows package not moving for 10+ days or courier confirms loss, we will immediately ship a replacement at no additional cost or issue full refund including shipping charges.

Package damaged during shipping: If you receive a visibly damaged package:

  1. Do not accept delivery if outer packaging is severely damaged
  2. If already accepted, document damage with photos before opening completely
  3. Contact support@compoden.in within 48 hours with photos of damaged package and contents
  4. We will file claim with courier and send replacement or refund within 3-5 business days

Compoden bears full responsibility for products damaged during shipping due to courier mishandling. This is separate from our manufacturing defect return policy.

Shipping Restrictions

Certain products have shipping restrictions due to safety regulations or legal requirements:

  • Lithium batteries: Shipped via surface transport only (air freight restricted). May add 1-2 days to delivery timeline.
  • Hazardous materials: Some chemicals and flammable items cannot be shipped via standard courier
  • High-value items: Orders above Rs. 50,000 may require signature confirmation and ID verification at delivery

If your order contains restricted items, you will be notified during order processing with expected delivery timeline adjustments.
