10kg Load Cell Weight Sensor – Precision up to 10kg
10KG Load Cell Weight Sensor – 10kg Capacity for Precision Weighing
The 10KG load cell weight sensor is a strain gauge-based transducer designed to measure weight or force up to 10 kilograms. Commonly used in digital scales and industrial automation, it converts mechanical force into a low-level electrical signal. With high accuracy and a durable construction, it's a go-to choice for prototyping and production weighing systems.

What You Can Build With This
- Arduino-powered digital kitchen scale with LCD display
- Industrial weight monitoring system for conveyor belts
- Automated pet feeder with portion control
- DIY luggage scale for travel or logistics
Compatibility
The sensor outputs a differential voltage and requires an external ADC like the HX711 module. It works with any microcontroller that can read digital data, such as Arduino Uno, Nano, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi with an HX711 breakout. Input voltage is typically 5V from the microcontroller’s pin. Direct connection to analog pins is not recommended due to noise.
Wiring Notes
Connect the load cell’s red wire to E+, black to E-, white to A-, and green to A+ on the HX711 module. Then interface the HX711’s DT and SCK pins to your microcontroller’s digital I/O. Use a stable 5V supply and keep wires short to minimize interference.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with Arduino?
Yes, it works seamlessly with Arduino boards when used with an HX711 amplifier module. Many libraries (e.g., HX711_ADC) simplify calibration and reading.
How accurate is this 10kg load cell?
It offers a typical combined error of ±0.03% full scale, equivalent to about ±3 grams. Proper calibration and stable mounting yield reliable results.
Do I need an amplifier?
Absolutely. The output signal is only a few millivolts, so you must use an HX711 or similar high-precision ADC board to convert it to digital readings.
