5V 3W AC-DC Power Module (PCB Mount)

Use this sealed PCB-mount module to power a project directly from mains — the part behind every "no wall wart" smart switch, ESP8266 relay board, and in-wall IoT build. Solder it to your board, feed 230V AC to the input pins, get isolated 5V DC out. Commonly used for smart-home switches, energy monitors, and permanently-installed sensor nodes. Not suitable for beginners: the input pins carry mains voltage. Keep mains-side creepage clearances, fuse the input, and never run it exposed on a breadboard desk — this is an experienced-builder part for enclosed installs. Not suitable for loads above 600mA (3W); an ESP32 with WiFi bursts sits within it, but add a capacitor. Key specs: 100–240V AC in, 5V DC out, 0.6A (3W), isolated, sealed plastic package, PCB pins. Alternative: a 5V USB adapter for anything that doesn't need to live inside a wall box.
