Bluesky Mini 5V 3A UBEC for RC Drones and PTZ Gimbals
Bluesky Mini 5V 3A UBEC
This UBEC steps down higher voltages from 2S–6S LiPo batteries to a clean 5V direct current. Designed for RC drones, PTZ gimbals, and small robotic assemblies where space and weight matter, it delivers 3 A continuously without brownout, keeping flight controllers, servos, and cameras stable.
Key Specifications
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|

| Output Voltage | 5V ±0.2V |
| Continuous Current | 3A |
| Peak Current | 5A (short burst) |
| Regulator Type | Synchronous buck (switching) |
| Dimensions | 25mm × 15mm × 5mm (approx.) |
What You Can Build With This
- FPV drone clean power hub – eliminate servo jitter and video noise
- 3‑axis brushless gimbal controller supply from a single flight battery
- Raspberry Pi companion computer for drone autonomy projects
- Bench‑top servo tester powered directly from a LiPo pack
Compatibility
The 5 V output works with standard RC receivers, Pixhawk, APM flight controllers, and most 5 V servos. It pairs naturally with any 2S–6S LiPo pack or 12 V–24 V DC source. The switching regulator stays cool, unlike linear BECs, so it runs reliably alongside ESCs and high‑drain components.
Wiring Notes
Red wire is input positive, black is ground. Connect the battery side to your flight pack via a JST or bullet connector. Output leads supply 5 V to your load; keep the total continuous draw below 3 A and use adequate wire gauge for the length. Avoid paralleling multiple UBECs unless you add isolation diodes.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with DJI FPV air units?
The 5 V output can power accessories that accept 5 V, but the DJI air unit itself requires a higher voltage (7.4‑17.6 V). Use this UBEC only for auxiliary 5 V gear.
Can I use it to power an Arduino flight controller directly?
Yes. The stable 5 V output matches the Vin pin requirements of Arduino boards. Just ensure the total load (Arduino + sensors + peripherals) does not exceed 3 A.
What happens if I exceed the input voltage?
Inputs above 26 V may damage the regulator. Always confirm your battery’s maximum voltage and allow a margin if using a fully charged 6S LiPo (25.2 V).
📦 Free Setup Handoff Document Included
Every Compoden order includes a free setup handoff document — step-by-step instructions to get your component working within minutes. Download it via QR code on your package. The handoff document is also trained to help you troubleshoot the majority of problems.
