The tri-state output has three states: logic high, logic low, and high-impedance (Hi-Z). When the Output Enable (OE) pin is low, all outputs go to Hi-Z, effectively disconnecting them from the circuit bus. This allows multiple devices to share the same data lines.
How do I set and reset a latch on the CD4043?
