Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 (V3) – ESP32-S3 + SX1262 LoRa Board with 0.96" OLED
The Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 V3 pairs an ESP32-S3 with a Semtech SX1262 LoRa radio and a built-in 0.96-inch 128×64 OLED display. It charges a 3.7V LiPo on board, so a single board, an antenna and a battery make a complete long-range node. It is the go-to board for Meshtastic mesh networks.
Built-in screen: you do not need a separate OLED display for this board.

What You Can Build With This
- Meshtastic off-grid messaging node
- LoRa sensor network for farms and fields
- Remote weather station with readings on the built-in OLED
- LoRa-to-Wi-Fi gateway
Wiring Notes
Always connect the LoRa antenna (IPEX/U.FL) before transmitting. The OLED and the LoRa antenna boost are powered through Vext (GPIO36, active LOW): set it LOW in your code before using the display. Feed it 5V over USB-C (at least 600 mA) or a 1S LiPo on the battery connector.
V3 vs V2
The V3 uses the ESP32-S3 and SX1262. The older V2 uses the ESP32 and SX1276, and its pins and firmware differ. Choose the V3 for current Meshtastic builds.
Availability
Imported to order: ships in about 30 days.
Does it work with Meshtastic?
Yes. Flash the Meshtastic "Heltec V3" firmware. If the screen stays blank, set the OLED override to SSD1306 in the Meshtastic settings.
Is it compatible with Arduino IDE?
Yes. Install the ESP32 board package and select "Heltec WiFi LoRa 32(V3)". RadioLib supports the SX1262.
