Use this where a plain diode's voltage drop is unacceptable — it drives a MOSFET to behave like a diode with roughly 50mV of loss instead of the 0.3-0.5V a Schottky costs you. Commonly used for solar backfeed blocking, battery OR-ing and reverse protection on rails carrying real current. Not suitable as a drop-in for the ₹29 Schottky module at low current, where the extra cost buys little; at 10A the difference is about 4.5W of heat and a visible voltage sag, which is where this part pays for itself. Key specs: up to 40V, 10A, ~50mV drop, MOSFET-based. Alternative: the series Schottky module below roughly 2A.
