It works with Raspberry Pi OS and any Linux distribution supporting the DSI interface. A 5V 2.5A power supply is recommended for stable touch performance.
Wiring Notes
Attach the included flat ribbon cable from the display’s DSI port to your Raspberry Pi’s DSI connector. Power the display via the GPIO 5V and GND pins, or use the onboard micro USB input for a separate power source. No driver installation is needed; Raspberry Pi OS automatically detects and configures the screen.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi 5?
The Raspberry Pi 5 uses a 22-pin DSI connector, while this display has a standard 15-pin ribbon. A Raspberry Pi 5 display adapter cable (sold separately) is required to connect this screen.
Does the display require a separate power supply?
You can power it directly from the Pi’s GPIO pins, but for higher reliability, especially when using USB peripherals, use the separate micro USB power input on the display board to avoid overloading the Raspberry Pi.
Can I use this screen with a non-Raspberry Pi board?
This display is designed for the DSI interface and drivers specific to Raspberry Pi. It may not work with generic HDMI or other single-board computers without specialized driver support.
