Use this for a real solar bank — a panel charging a 12V or 24V lead-acid battery at up to 20A, with load control and auto voltage detection. Commonly used for off-grid 12V systems, small installations and battery banks. Not suitable as a bigger CN3791: this is a different class of part, PWM rather than MPPT and built for lead-acid, so on a lithium node it is the wrong chemistry and on a shaded panel it harvests less than MPPT would. Key specs: 20A, 12/24V auto, PWM, lead-acid profile. Alternative: the CN3791 MPPT module for lithium sensor nodes, which is what most project-scale solar actually needs.
