Arduino Nano R3 CH340 Type-C Dev Board (Pre-Soldered)
Nano R3 CH340 Development Board with Type-C (Pre-Soldered)
This Nano R3 development board is a compact microcontroller module based on the ATmega328P, featuring a CH340 USB-to-serial chip and a modern USB Type-C connector. Pre-soldered male header pins make it plug‐and‐play on a breadboard, while full Arduino IDE compatibility ensures you can start programming immediately. It’s a reliable, ready‐to‐use platform for embedded projects, sensor logging, and rapid prototyping.

What You Can Build With This
- A weather station that logs temperature, humidity, and pressure onto an SD card
- A line-following robot using IR sensors and motor drivers
- An automatic plant watering system with a soil moisture sensor and pump
- A simple game controller or MIDI device over USB
Compatibility
This board works directly with the Arduino IDE – just select “Arduino Nano” from the board menu. It shares the same pinout and form factor as the original Arduino Nano, so most shields and breadboard layouts are compatible. Power it via the Type-C port (5 V) or through the VIN pin (7–12 V). The on-board LDO regulator supplies a steady 5 V rail. I/O pins operate at 5 V; use level shifters when interfacing with 3.3 V sensors or modules.
Wiring Notes
The pre-soldered dual-row headers slot directly into any standard breadboard. The CH340G chip requires a driver – newer operating systems often install it automatically; otherwise download it from the manufacturer’s site. VIN and GND pins are clearly marked; do not exceed 12 V on VIN. Each I/O pin can source up to 40 mA, but the total current draw should stay below 200 mA to avoid overheating the regulator.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with the Arduino IDE?
Yes. After installing the CH340 driver, open the Arduino IDE, select “Tools → Board → Arduino Nano”, choose the correct processor (ATmega328P) and port, and upload. The board comes with the Arduino bootloader pre-loaded.
What driver does the CH340 need?
The CH340G USB-to-serial chip requires a driver. Windows 10/11 usually fetch it automatically via Windows Update. For older OS versions, or if not recognised, download the driver from the WCH website. macOS and Linux often have native support, but a signed driver may be needed on recent macOS releases.
Does the Type-C connector carry data or just power?
The USB Type-C port fully supports data transfer and power. The CH340G chip handles serial communication, so you can upload sketches and use serial monitor just like with a micro USB board.
📦 Free Setup Handoff Document Included
