Compatibility
The DHT22 works with any microcontroller that supports digital I/O, including Arduino Uno, Mega, Nano, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi. The module includes an onboard 4.7kΩ pull-up resistor, so you can connect it directly to a 3.3V or 5V logic board. Recommended libraries are the Adafruit DHT sensor library and the simple DHT22 library for Arduino.
Wiring Notes
Connect VCC to 3.3V–5V, GND to ground, and DATA to a digital pin. The module already has a pull-up, so no external resistor is needed. Avoid cables longer than 1 metre, and never request readings faster than once every 2 seconds to get valid data.

What is the difference between DHT11 and DHT22?

The bare module is not weatherproof. For outdoor use, place it in a weatherproof enclosure with ventilation to protect from rain and direct moisture.
