Does the kit include the current clamp for the appliance?

Yes. The PZEM-004T module comes with a split-core current transformer (CT) that clamps around the live wire of the appliance, so no cutting of wires is required.

Do I need to solder anything?

No soldering is needed. All connections are made on the included 400-point breadboard using the male-to-male jumper wires. The whole circuit can be assembled and disassembled easily.

Is it safe for a 10-year-old to use?

The current clamp and PZEM-004T module are fully insulated and designed for non-contact AC measurement. With adult supervision to handle the mains plug, a 10-year-old can safely build and use this meter while learning about home energy.
