Compatibility
The adapter accepts both ESP-01 (512 KB flash) and ESP-01S (1 MB flash) modules. It works with 5V Arduino boards for serial programming when the jumper is set to 5V, or with 3.3V USB-UART adapters in 3.3V mode. Common pairings include Arduino Uno, Raspberry Pi, and FTDI programmers.
Wiring Notes
Apply 5V to VIN or the micro-USB port; never connect 5V directly to the ESP module’s VCC pin. TX/RX cross-connect to your programmer, and set the jumper to match your UART voltage. The CH_PD pin is pulled high by default – remove the jumper only for low-power modes.

Is this compatible with Arduino Uno for programming the ESP-01?
Yes, connect the adapter’s 5V pin to Uno’s 5V, GND to GND, and cross TX/RX to Uno pins 0/1. Set the jumper to 5V. Pull GPIO0 low before powering to enter flash mode.
Does the board include the ESP-01 module?
No, this is only the breakout adapter with voltage regulator. The ESP-01 or ESP-01S module must be purchased separately.
Can I power it directly from a 3.3V supply?
If you have a stable 3.3V source, you can bypass the regulator by connecting directly to the 3.3V pin, but ensure your supply can handle 200mA+ peaks. The regulator is designed for 5V input.
