Compatibility
Compatible with any 3.3V or 5V microcontroller with UART including Arduino Uno, Mega, Nano, ESP32, Raspberry Pi (via level shifting if needed), and STM32. Outputs standard NMEA sentences and works well with the TinyGPS++ library for Arduino.
Wiring Notes
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V, GND to ground, TX of GPS to RX of MCU, RX of GPS to TX of MCU (optional for commands). Default baud is 9600. For 5V Arduino, direct connection is fine due to onboard regulator. Keep the antenna side facing open sky for best reception.

Is this compatible with Arduino Uno?
Yes. Connect VCC to 5V, GND to GND, GPS TX to Arduino pin 4 (RX), and use SoftwareSerial. The onboard regulator handles the 5V safely.
Does it need an external antenna?
The module includes a built-in ceramic patch antenna for most uses. For weak signal areas, some variants have a U.FL connector for an external active antenna.
What is the typical time to first fix?
Cold start is around 27 seconds under open sky. Hot start can be under 1 second if the module has recent almanac data and a backup battery is connected.
