It combines an IR emitter, photodiode, and signal processing IC on a single board, enabling precise distance measurement up to 200mm and ambient light sensing. Wiring Notes

Connect VCC to 3.3V, GND to ground, SDA to your board’s SDA pin, and SCL to SCL. Add 4.7kΩ pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL lines if your board doesn’t have them built-in. Avoid placing the sensor near reflective surfaces to prevent false readings.

Can I use this outdoors?

The ambient light sensor can read up to 16k lux, making it suitable for indoor and shaded outdoor use. Direct sunlight may saturate the sensor; placing it in indirect light is recommended.
