Greenhouse Pressure Monitor Kit with Arduino Nano + LoRa — Simulate CubeSat Downlink

Every part needed, pre-tested for compatibility, with an AI build companion trained on this exact project. Shipped from Bengaluru in 3-5 days.

Difficulty: Advanced Build Time: 6-8 hrs Age: 18-21 Skill: LoRa-based wireless telemetry

This dual-node LoRa network simulates how a CubeSat transmits structured telemetry packets to a ground station. Build a greenhouse sensor pod with a BMP280 pressure sensor, MPU6050 motion tracker, and real-time clock, then receive, display, and log the data on a matching ground station. It’s the closest you’ll get to satellite engineering without leaving your workbench.

What You'll Build

You’ll build a two‑part wireless system: a battery‑powered transmitter that reads greenhouse conditions and an RTC timestamp, formats them into compact binary telemetry frames, and sends them via RA‑02 LoRa; and a receiver that decodes the frames, displays sensor values on an OLED, and saves a log to microSD. Both nodes use Arduino Nano for processing.

What You'll Learn

  • Packet structuring and decoding for telemetry downlink simulation
  • LoRa communication with RA‑02 modules on 433 MHz
  • Sensor integration: BMP280 pressure, MPU6050 accelerometer/gyroscope, DS3231 RTC
  • Building battery‑powered autonomous nodes with TP4056 LiPo charging

Who This Kit Is For

Designed for B.Tech ECE and EEE students, Smart India Hackathon participants, and satellite technology enthusiasts. If you’re building a LoRa-based telemetry system for your final year project or want to understand how ISRO’s CubeSats beam sensor data to Earth, this kit gives you the hardware and guided build experience under one roof.

Built and Backed by Compoden

Every Compoden kit ships with an AI build companion trained on this exact project — accessible via a QR code on the box, with WhatsApp and email backup. We’ve spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. If a part fails because of a manufacturing defect, replace it free within 7 days.

What if I get stuck during the build?

Your kit includes a QR code linking to a custom AI companion trained on this project, plus WhatsApp and email support. The AI can walk you through wiring, code logic, and debugging LoRa payloads.

What exactly is simulated here?

The greenhouse node acts as a CubeSat payload, packaging pressure, temperature, acceleration, and timestamp into a compact binary frame that mimics CCSDS‑style telemetry. The ground station decodes and logs these packets, exactly like a mission control setup.

Do I need an amateur radio license for 433 MHz?

No. The RA‑02 modules operate at 433 MHz within the ISM band limit (10 mW EIRP) and are license‑free in India for non‑commercial use.

Can I modify the telemetry frame format?

Absolutely. The AI companion provides the baseline packet structure; you can add new sensors, expand the data fields, or implement error correction to make it your own.

Greenhouse — RA-02 LoRa transmits structured telemetry packets simulating CubeSat downlink. Ground station decodes.
