This kit guides you through building a collar-mounted GPS tracker that reads coordinates from a NEO-6M module, packs them into an APRS packet, and transmits them over the HC-12 433 MHz radio link. The packet is picked up by the global APRS network and appears on the aprs.fi map, accessible from any browser.

What You'll Build

You’ll solder and assemble a fully self-contained tracker – from the Arduino Nano controller and GPS receiver to the HC-12 radio module and LiPo battery, all housed in a sturdy, waterproof enclosure. Once mounted on your pet’s collar, it continuously sends location packets that you can follow in real time on the universal APRS map. Show friends and family where your dog wanders, or log the nightly patrol route of your neighbourhood cat.
