PH Sensor Module with PH Probe - Water Quality Monitoring Sensor
PH Sensor Module with PH Probe - Water Quality Monitoring Sensor
The PH Sensor Module with BNC probe measures hydrogen ion concentration in liquids, outputting an analog voltage proportional to pH value. It's designed for continuous monitoring in hydroponics, aquariums, pools, and laboratory experiments. With simple calibration and wide compatibility, it provides reliable pH readings from 0 to 14.

What You Can Build With This
- Hydroponics nutrient solution pH controller
- Aquarium water quality monitor and alert system
- Swimming pool pH level automatic adjuster
- Soil pH testing rig for agricultural projects
Compatibility
Works with any microcontroller or single-board computer that reads 0-5V analog signals, such as Arduino Uno, Mega, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi via an ADC. The module amplifies the mV-level probe signal to a 0-5V range, so no extra interfacing is needed. Use with a 5V supply and connect the analog output to an analog input pin.
Wiring Notes
Connect VCC to 5V, GND to common ground, and the analog output to an ADC pin (e.g., A0 on Arduino). For best stability, use a dedicated 5V supply and avoid long unshielded wires. If readings drift, check the probe connection and recalibrate.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with Arduino?
Yes, the module outputs 0-5V analog, which can be read by any Arduino board using an analog input pin like A0. Just supply 5V and ground.
How do I calibrate the pH sensor?
Use buffer solutions of known pH (typically 4.0 and 7.0). Immerse the probe, adjust the onboard potentiometer until the output voltage matches the expected value for that pH, then repeat for the second point to set the slope.
Does the probe need special storage?
The glass electrode should be kept wet in storage solution or pH 4 buffer when not in use. Never store it in distilled water as that leaches ions from the glass bulb.
