TEG Power Monitor Kit - Arduino Uno, INA219, OLED Display
See the Power Your Peltier Module Generates - Arduino Uno Thermoelectric Generator Monitor Kit
Every part needed to monitor your Peltier-based generator, pre-tested for compatibility, with an AI build companion trained on this exact project. Shipped from Bengaluru in 3-5 days.
Ever wondered how much electricity a temperature difference can create? This kit turns your TEC1-12706 Peltier module (not included) into a measurable power source. Connect the Arduino Uno, INA219 sensor, OLED display, and two DS18B20 temperature probes, and watch real-time voltage, current, and power flow on the screen - while logging hot and cold side temperatures. It's a hands-on way to explore the Seebeck effect without any prior electronics experience.
What You'll Build
A compact bench instrument that measures the electrical output of any Seebeck-effect generator. The OLED shows live power (mW), voltage, and current drawn from the temperature difference between the two DS18B20 probes placed on opposite sides of the Peltier module. Use it to compare different heat sources, cooling methods, or module orientations. The system runs on a 9V battery, so you can take it anywhere.
What You'll Learn
- Calibrate an INA219 high-side current sensor over I2C to measure micro-watt power from a TEG.
- Interface dual DS18B20 digital temperature sensors with Arduino using OneWire protocol.
- Display real-time sensor data on a 0.96-inch OLED using the U8g2 library.
- Understand the Seebeck effect and how temperature gradients generate voltage.

Who This Kit Is For
Perfect for CBSE Class 9-12 students demonstrating thermoelectric effect for science exhibitions, ATL Tinkering Lab mentors seeking a quick I2C and OLED tutorial, and B.Tech ECE/EEE first-year students building a hands-on energy monitoring mini-project. Whether you're exploring renewable energy at home or prepping for Smart India Hackathon, this kit gives you a measurable, real-world data project.
Built and Backed by Compoden
Every Compoden kit ships with an AI build companion trained on this exact project - accessible via a QR code on the box, with WhatsApp and email backup. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. If a part fails because of a manufacturing defect, replace it free within 7 days.
What if I get stuck during the build?
Scan the QR code to access the AI companion that understands every component in this kit. It walks you through wiring, code uploading, and debugging. WhatsApp support is also available if you need a human touch.
Do I need to buy the Peltier module separately?
Yes, the TEC1-12706 Peltier module is not included. Our kit provides all the measurement and display electronics. Any standard TEC1-12706 or similar low-power TEG will work; the INA219 can measure from microvolts upwards.
What can I use as a heat source and cold sink?
A cup of hot water and an ice pack work perfectly. The two DS18B20 probes measure the temperature on each side, and the OLED shows the gradient. Experiment with different materials to see how efficiency changes.
Does this kit require soldering?
No soldering needed. All connections use the 400-point breadboard and male-to-male jumper wires. Perfect for beginners aged 8 and up with adult supervision.
TEC1-12706 Peltier as generator measures voltage produced by temperature differential. INA219 shows power.
