This integrated development board combines an ESP32-S3 main processor with a dedicated ESP32 co-processor, a 1.8-inch round capacitive-touch IPS LCD (360x360 resolution), and a rotary encoder with a CNC-machined metal knob. It is designed for building smart-dial human-machine interfaces, IoT control panels, and interactive demos that require a compact display and tactile input.

Display driver, touch controller and full GPIO pin map
Confirmed against Waveshare's official demo firmware for the ESP32-S3-Knob-Touch-LCD-1.8. This is a QSPI round AMOLED panel — it is NOT an SPI ST7735/ST7789 module, so do not use a plain TFT_eSPI ST7735 setup. Build on Waveshare's LVGL / esp_lcd QSPI demo.
- Display driver: Sitronix SH8601 (QSPI AMOLED), 360×360, 16 bit/px. Some board revisions ship an ST77916 (also QSPI) — the pin map below is identical for both.
- Display pins (QSPI): CS=GPIO14, PCLK/SCK=GPIO13, D0=GPIO15, D1=GPIO16, D2=GPIO17, D3=GPIO18, RST=GPIO21, Backlight(PWM)=GPIO47
- Touch controller: CST816 over I2C, address 0x15 — SDA=GPIO11, SCL=GPIO12
- Rotary encoder (knob): phase A=GPIO8, phase B=GPIO7
- Haptics: DRV2605 vibration driver (shares the I2C bus)
- Audio: PCM5100A I2S DAC/codec to the 3.5mm jack
