Use this to get a fixed 3.3V rail without setting a trimpot — the common way a 3.3V sensor dies is a slipped pot delivering 5V, and a fixed module removes that failure entirely. Commonly used for ESP32 rails, sensor nodes and 3.3V logic run from a higher-voltage battery. Not suitable above 3A continuous, and not suitable if you need 5V — this output is fixed at 3.3V. Key specs: 4.5-28V in, 3.3V fixed out, 3A continuous. Alternative: the adjustable MP1584EN module if you need a different rail and are willing to set and check it with a meter.
