Use this to hold a steady output while the input crosses it in both directions — a 12V rail from a pack that starts at 12.6V and sags to 10V would drop out on a plain buck, and this will not. Commonly used for vehicle supplies, wide-input builds and stabilising a rail off a discharging battery. Not suitable below 10V input, which rules out single-cell and 2S work; check that your pack's EMPTY voltage is still above 10V, because that is when a buck-boost is needed and when this part stops. Key specs: 10-35V in, automatic buck-boost, 80W, 8.5A. Alternative: the 5A synchronous buck-boost, which works from 1S upward, when your input goes lower than this one accepts.
