Use this to run a 5V rail from a single lithium cell down to 1.5V input, with a fixed output so there is no pot to set. Commonly used in wearables, battery-powered sensor nodes and portable builds where the cell sags as it discharges. Not suitable above 3.7A output, and not suitable as a charger — it boosts, it does not charge the cell. Key specs: 1.5-5.5V in, 5V fixed out, up to 3.7A, pass-through capable. Alternative: the MT3608 if you need an adjustable output and 2A is enough.
