Compatibility

This board is programmable using Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, or MicroPython. It works with common sensors and modules over I2C, SPI, and UART, such as BME280, WS2812B LEDs, and SSD1306 OLEDs. Note that all GPIOs operate at 3.3V logic levels; attaching 5V signals may damage the board. Use level shifters if interfacing with 5V peripherals.

Wiring Notes

Power the board via the USB-C port (5V) or by connecting a 3.7V LiPo battery to the VBAT pin. Do not connect 5V directly to any GPIO pin. For I2C devices, external pull-up resistors (typically 4.7kΩ) on SDA and SCL are recommended. GPIO0 and GPIO2 affect boot mode; avoid pulling them low during reset unless you intend to enter programming mode.
