LM35D Analog Temperature Sensor Module – Precision Centigrade Sensor
LM35D Analog Temperature Sensor Module
The LM35D is a precision integrated-circuit temperature sensor whose output voltage is linearly proportional to Celsius temperature. This module provides a simple breakout for the sensor, requiring only a single analog input pin to read temperature. With 10mV per degree Celsius scaling, it’s plug-and-play for microcontrollers and ideal for environmental monitoring, HVAC prototypes, and educational projects.

Compatibility
The LM35D module works with any board having an analog input. Use it with Arduino Uno, Nano, or Mega by connecting the output to A0. ESP8266 and ESP32 require an ADC pin (ESP32 ADC is 12-bit). Raspberry Pi needs an external ADC like MCP3008. The sensor outputs 0–1V for 0–100°C, so 5V tolerant ADCs read directly without level shifting.
Wiring Notes
Connect VCC to 5V (or 3.3V if within supply range) and GND to ground. The OUT pin connects to an analog input. For stable readings, add a 100nF capacitor between VCC and GND near the sensor. Avoid long wires in noisy environments to prevent parasitic oscillations.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with Arduino Uno?
Yes, connect VCC to 5V, GND to GND, and OUT to pin A0. The analogRead value converts to Celsius by multiplying by (5.0/1024)*100.
What is the accuracy of the LM35D?
Typical accuracy is ±0.5°C at 25°C. Over the full 0–100°C range, error can be up to ±2°C, but linearity remains excellent.
Can I use this sensor outdoors or in humid conditions?
The bare sensor is not waterproof. For outdoor use, place it inside a weatherproof enclosure or use a stainless steel probe version. Direct moisture may cause corrosion and reading drift.
📦 Free Setup Handoff Document Included
