Can I extend the network beyond 8 nodes?

Do the sensor nodes need internet connectivity?

No. Nodes communicate via LoRa to the gateway. Only the gateway can optionally connect to Wi-Fi for cloud integration, but the local dashboard and crop health overlays function completely offline in the field.

How accurate is the soil moisture sensor for Indian soils?

The included capacitive sensors are corrosion-free and output relative moisture levels. The build companion provides a calibration guide optimized for lateritic, alluvial, and black cotton soils commonly found across India, along with temperature compensation routines.
