Arduino Joystick Robotics Control Shield – Compoden
Joystick Robotics Control Shield for Arduino
This shield transforms your Arduino board into a wireless or wired robotics controller. It combines a dual-axis analog joystick with push button, an onboard socket for a nRF24L01 module, and motor/servo drivers. You can build a compact remote control for robots, rovers, or robotic arms without messy wiring.

What You Can Build With This
- Wireless remote-controlled car with forward/reverse/steering
- Robotic arm controller using servo outputs and joystick axes
- Drone ground control station via nRF24L01 telemetry
- Custom game controller for PC or robot simulators
Compatibility
This shield directly stacks onto Arduino Uno, Mega 2560, and Leonardo. It uses the standard 5V logic level. Pair it with a second Arduino board fitted with an nRF24L01 module to establish wireless communication. For motor power, connect an external 7–12V battery to the shield’s power terminal.
Wiring Notes
Simply plug the shield onto your Arduino. Insert a nRF24L01 module into the onboard socket. Connect motors to the screw terminals (M1, M2) and servos to the 3-pin headers. The joystick X/Y axes map to analog pins A0 and A1; the push button connects to digital pin 2. Ensure the motor power jumper is set correctly before applying external voltage.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with Arduino Uno R3?
Yes, it plugs directly onto the Arduino Uno R3 headers and does not block the USB port.
Does the shield include the nRF24L01 wireless module?
No, the nRF24L01 module must be purchased separately. The shield only provides the socket.
What type of motors can I drive?
The L293D can handle two DC motors up to 1A continuous current per channel (600mA typical). You can also drive a small 4-wire stepper motor.
📦 Free Setup Handoff Document Included
