Is this compatible with Arduino Mega?
The shield fits Arduino Uno footprint and will not stack securely on a Mega. You can use jumper wires to connect the shield’s pins to the Mega’s corresponding I/O headers.

The shield provides through-hole pads for standard components. Small SMD parts can be soldered with care, but it is not optimized for surface-mount designs.
Does the breadboard come detached or fixed?
The mini breadboard is pre-mounted and fixed onto the shield with adhesive. It is not intended to be removed.
