Gas Leak Multi-Sensor Alert Panel Kit with Arduino Uno – Real-Time Smoke, LPG & CO Detection with TFT Danger Zones

Every part needed, pre-tested for compatibility, with an AI build companion trained on this exact project. Shipped from Bengaluru in 3-5 days.

Difficulty: Intermediate Build Time: 4-5 hrs Age: 15-18 Skill: Designing a multi-gas alert panel with visual danger indicators

When a gas leak goes undetected, seconds matter. This kit lets you build a panel that monitors smoke, LPG, and carbon monoxide simultaneously, displaying real-time readings on a TFT screen with clear green-to-red danger zones. Perfect for homes, school science exhibitions, or engineering projects, you’ll create a working safety device that could prevent accidents.

What You'll Build

You’ll assemble a tabletop alert panel that reads gas concentrations from two sensors, processes them with an Arduino Uno, and shows the values on a colour TFT display. When gas levels exceed safe thresholds, a loud buzzer and red LEDs fire off, giving a clear visual and audible warning. The screen changes zones from green (safe) to yellow (caution) to red (danger) based on real-time data.

What You'll Learn

  • Read analog sensor data from MQ-2 and MQ-7 gas sensors
  • Calibrate gas sensors for indoor air quality monitoring
  • Program a TFT display to show multi-parameter readings with colour-coded thresholds
  • Integrate a buzzer and LED alarm system with conditional logic in Arduino C++

Who This Kit Is For

This kit is ideal for CBSE Class 11–12 students building a safety-themed physics or computer science project, B.Tech ECE/EEE first-years exploring sensor integration, and ATL Tinkering Lab mentors running safety system workshops. If you’re participating in Smart India Hackathon and need a functional prototype for gas leak detection, this kit gets you from concept to working demo in one package.

Built and Backed by Compoden

Every Compoden kit ships with an AI build companion trained on this exact project — accessible via a QR code on the box, with WhatsApp and email backup. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. If a part fails because of a manufacturing defect, replace it free within 7 days.

Does this kit detect all types of gas leaks?

The MQ-2 sensor detects smoke, LPG, methane, and butane, while the MQ-7 is sensitive to carbon monoxide. Together they cover the most common household and industrial gas dangers. They will not detect toxic gases like ammonia or hydrogen sulphide.

Can I log the gas readings over time?

The Arduino Uno can send serial data to a computer for logging via the USB port. With minor code modifications, you can log to an SD card module (not included). The AI companion can help you add data logging.

What power does it need?

The kit includes a 9V battery snap, so you can power the panel with a 9V battery for portable use. It can also be powered via the Arduino Uno’s USB port from a power bank or laptop.

MQ-2 and MQ-7 together monitor both smoke/LPG and carbon monoxide. TFT shows both readings with danger zones.
