Multifunction Shield for Arduino Uno, Leonardo | Compoden
Multifunction Shield For Arduino Uno / Leonardo
This shield integrates a 4-digit 7-segment display, buttons, temperature sensor, buzzer, and more onto a single board that plugs directly onto your Arduino Uno or Leonardo. It's built for rapid prototyping, learning, and creating interactive projects without external components. Pre-wired to standard pins, it lets you focus on coding right out of the box.

What You Can Build With This
- Digital clock that shows time and temperature on the 7-segment LEDs.
- IR remote-controlled timer or counter with button overrides.
- Reaction game with score tracking and buzzer feedback.
- Temperature alarm that triggers the buzzer when a threshold is crossed.
Compatibility
This shield is designed for Arduino Uno and Leonardo boards with standard header spacing. It also works with Mega 2560 (some pin mapping identical, but check shift-register pins) and other 5V Arduinos using a breakout. The 7-segment uses digital pins 8 (data), 9 (clock), and 10 (latch); buttons read on A1–A3; buzzer on D3; thermistor on A0; potentiometer on A4; IR receiver on D11. No soldering required—simply stack it onto your board.
Wiring Notes
Stack the shield directly onto the Arduino, aligning pin 1. Power is drawn from the 5V rail. The shift-register pins (8,9,10) are dedicated to the display; avoid using them for other output if the display is active. Buttons are normally open and require internal pull-ups enabled in code. The IR receiver outputs digital data on pin 11, and the buzzer is active low on pin 3. Always verify silkscreen labels—slight variants may swap sensor pins.
Why Buy from Compoden
Every component is sourced from verified suppliers and tested for compatibility before listing. We've spent 10 years building projects for makers, schools, and institutions across India. Ships from Bengaluru in 3-5 days. If defective on arrival, replace within 7 days.
Is this compatible with Arduino Mega 2560?
Yes, it fits and works. The shift-register pins (8,9,10) remain the same on the Mega, and the analog pins for buttons and sensors are available. Just check that your sketch doesn’t conflict with Mega-specific pins used by the shield.
Do I need to solder headers or components?
No, the shield arrives fully assembled with all components and headers soldered. Plug it directly onto your Arduino.
Can I use the shield with an Arduino Nano?
Not directly, as the Nano’s pin layout differs. You can connect it using a breadboard and jumper wires, mapping the shield’s pins to the corresponding Nano pins, but it won't physically stack.
