Compatibility

Works with any 5V or 3.3V microcontroller including Arduino Uno, Nano, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico, and STM32. No level shifting needed; connect one terminal to GPIO with internal pull-up and the other to ground, or use external 10kΩ pull-up resistor. Compatible with breadboards and standard 0.1″ pitch perfboards.

Wiring Notes

Connect one terminal of the button to a GPIO pin, the other to GND. Enable internal pull-up on the GPIO pin (e.g., pinMode(pin, INPUT_PULLUP) in Arduino). The button press will read LOW. For reliable operation, add a 100nF capacitor across the button contacts to debounce if not handled in software.
